What is E-Waste?

The term "e-waste" is loosely applied to consumer and business electronic equipment that is near or at the end of its useful life. There is no clear definition for e-waste; for instance whether or not items like microwave ovens and other similar "appliances" should be grouped into the category has not been established.

Like thousands of other computer owners, you are probably realizing that the computers (e-waste) stored in your closet, garage or taking up valuable space at the office are no longer worth the space they are taking. In most municipalities, you cannot throw them away, so what do you do with them?

 Do you or your business need to dispose of surplus or obsolete computer equipment? We may have the answer you're looking for! We offer an environmentally responsible solution which includes the recycling, pickup and removal of your old and surplus computers and equipment. Bully’s Bytes takes care of everything and will:

1. Supply a vehicle and staff to your location, where we handle the direct pickup and removal of your computers and equipment for recycling. Once removed, we take title, releasing you or your company from any future environmental liability.

2. Computer hard drives are securely erased or are rendered inoperable, protecting you from software pirating and release of your sensitive information.

3. We thoroughly destroy all traces of ownership by removing ID and asset tags that may identify the equipment's original owner.

4. Equipment is pulled apart and stripped down to its base components, where the appropriate materials are recycled.

5. Selected working and tested components such as ram, CPU’s, etc are placed on the 2nd hand market for re-use as replacement spare parts which in turn subsidize our recycling and labor costs.

Bully’s Bytes will accept any computer or computer related item (including software) for recycle and environmentally responsible disposal. If you have a large lot of items, Bully’s Bytes may be able to save you the expense of removal by picking up the items at their location. Our goal at Bully’s Bytes is to preserve our environment by dismantling computers in a safe and efficient manner. All computers recycled by Bully’s Bytes are dismantled right here in the state of Ohio — not shipped to a foreign country.
